How you earn a credit and add your name to the film
A film credit is based on the total you help bring in — not only what you give personally. Your total contribution can include:
- Your donations (tax-deductible).
- Funds you help raise through a Matching Challenge — resources your challenge unlocks from others count toward your contribution level, in full: your own money is at risk, and the money it unlocks exists because of your pledge.
- Funds raised by a crowdfunding campaign you start through our Pledge platform: learn more about joining our fundraising campaign.
- Funds raised at an event you host for our film (virtual or in person).
What hosting earns. An event you host or a fundraiser you run earns a credit by what it achieves, not by a share of the money: over $5,000 raised is a Special Thanks, over $25,000 a “Made Possible by” credit. The gifts made at your event already appear on this wall, credited to the people who gave them, so the total is not also counted against your name.
Title credits. Executive Producer title credits — appearing before the film begins — are limited in availability and subject to editorial needs.
To appear in the film, credits must be finalized before final cut is locked. Contributions made after that point will continue to be recognized here on our website, but can no longer be added to the finished film.
All credits are subject to editorial approval, including size, placement, order and content. Title credits — those appearing before the film — and any logos or animation are likewise subject to editorial approval.
